ESPL has installed Electronic version 20MTs capacity UTM Machine. Extensometer is used to ascertain the proof stress as per the standard requirement. The tensile properties of each heat is checked and recorded. The graph of each heat is maintained.

Hardness of the castings and the test bars is checked & recoded as per the QAP. The hardness of the small casting is checked on Brinnel Hardness Testing Machine with 3000Kgs load and 10mm dia ball. The hardness of bigger castings is checked with Poldi Hardness Tester.

Impact testing is being carried out by external NABL approved laboratory
